5. Geelong City Hall – Christmas Projections
Before you ask us – YES! ❤️🤍💛
YES – Geelong indeed has it’s own extraordinary light show at its city hall, and it’s quite the digital wonderland we must say! The stunning medley of lights & animations screen nightly from 8:30 – 11:30pm.
If you want the ultimate Geelong XMAS experience – simply walk down to the Waterfront watch the Floating Christmas Tree’s famous light show. These two entertaining XMAS attractions go hand-in-hand for a festive night! ( scroll down to #10 for more info! )

6. Koorie Krismas
Fed Square will see a visit from the Koorie Klaus this Koorie Krismas! In case you didn’t know, Koorie Krismas is a First Nations celebration which involves exiting live entertainment from Indigenous Australian musicians, dancers and poets! It also includes market stalls, workshops & a special visit from Koorie Klaus himself – whaaaaaaa?! 🎅
We are stoked that this fun-filled event has come back to Fed Square – it is a VIBE and a half! 🕺🏽🕺🏽

7. Carols by Candlelight
🕯 MELBOURNE FAM – Vision Australia’s Carols by Candlelight is held at Sidney Myer Music Bowl every year on Christmas Eve. It is here you can gather with your family & friends to raise funds for Vision Australia’s children’s services, while experiencing the magic of Christmas with wholesome carols & your favourite Aussie musicians! 🎤
Yep, Vision Australia’s Carols by Candlelight has provided thousands of children in need with early learning & development programs, braille & tactile learning kits, accessibility services, white cane training, as well as employability programs for teenagers so they can gain an understanding of financial literacy, resume writing and building emotional resilience in the workplace 🥺🤎

🕯 GEELONG FAM – Unfortunately Geelong’s 57-year tradition of hosting Carols by Candlelight at Johnstone Park will not be staged this year. However, it is due to be broadcasted on C31 (Channel 34) on Xmas Eve! 💁🏽♀️

10. The Floating Christmas Tree (Geelong)
Is it reaaaaally Christmas in Geelong if you haven’tvisited the giant, floating Christmas tree at the Waterfront?! The tree is 25 metres tall and floats at Steampacket Quay, Waterfront Geelong (right near the Carousel! ). 🎄 🌟
With its 11,000 reflective metallic discs, the famous tree is designed to reflect Geelong’s stunning bay, and ever-changing sky during the day – kiiinda like a disco ball! However when the sun goes down, the ten-tonne tree summons a spectacular performance of brights LED lights that are synchronised to beloved Christmas carols.
It is an attraction that never fails to bring a smile to thousands of faces every year! 😍
