Chapel Street – oh how we LOVE you.  For those who don’t know, Chapel Street is one of Melbourne’s most iconic hubs, which extends approximately 4.13km along the Yarra River, and runs through lovely suburbs such as Brighton and St Kilda.  With over 980 shops, we can totally see why it’s such an attraction 😍

Chapel Street not only consists of fashion and vintage stores, but it also embodies a medley of art stores, boujee restaurants & bars, famous street art, jewellery boutiques AND groovy cafes for any kind of hungry, hangry or hungover belly 😜❣️

Here, we have put together a list of hidden gems in & around Chapel Street that you MUST visit, in order to get dat full Chapel experience 💁🏽‍♀️🌟

1.  Prahran Market

Prahran Market is one of the oldest and longest running food markets in not only Melbourne, but Australia too!  Despite being established in 1864, this market still operates on its original site and offers a variety of farm fresh produce and foods – from veggies, to top quality meat! 🥩 

This bustling market works closely with local communities to host a variety of ‘foodie’ events, and consistently collaborates with renowned chefs to produce top-quality cooking demonstrations & workshops!

The Prahran Market is a wonderful place to eat delicious food, drink, relax and soak up some community spirit!  …THIS is what we love!!! ❣️

2.  Maker & Monger

Two words – CHEESE PLEAZZZZE!  🧀💛🧀💛

From a small cart in the Prahan Market, to a 7-metre-long stall in the Heritage Harvest Hall, Maker & Monger is renowned as the ‘Chapel of Cheese’, as it is home to an exquisite collection of top-quality farmhouse & artisan cheeses.  With its delicacy of boutique cheeses from all around the world, this stall is a cheese-lover’s dream that guarantees taste quality in every mouthful!  – Especially with it’s expanding menu of delicious cheese toasties, ooooo yeah baby!  ☁️🦄 🔮 

( If you want the ultimate cheese toastie to DIE for, this place is where you gotta go.  Peridottttt. 💅 )

3.  Chapel Off Chapel (theatre)

Yep, you heard that right – this is a Chapel riiiight off Chapel Street.  Before you guys stop scrolling, hear us out.  This Chapel is one of Melbourne’s most iconic music venues, with a 255-seat Chapel Theatre, a 150-seat Chapel Loft and a visual arts gallery!  

Chapel Off Chapel is very well known for it’s Chapel Summer Sessions, which consists of intimate live music from Aussie artists – including Reece Mastin, Jack Vidgen and Taylor Henderson ( say whaaaaa? ) 🕺🏽✨

Chapel Off Chapel is also renowned for its various comedy shows, tribute concerts, musicals and drag shows! 

We absolutely cannot WAIT for this hidden gem to re-open!! 😍

4.  The Cookie Box (Cookie Shop)

Coooookie!! Nom nom nom nom nom 🍪🍪

This place is ✨literally✨ the Daniel’s Donuts of cookies, and is a MUST if you ever visit Windsor.  

As soon as you walk into this vibrant store, the scent of freshly baked cookies will immediately rush into your nostrils – super drool worthy amiright?! 🤤 

These gourmet donuts are hand rolled and rested in the fridge for 48 hours before they are baked fresh everyday – simply because “you can’t rush perfection”…. And these guys are sooooo right! 🤤

And for our plant-based pals out there – these legends have you covered with a Vegan Choc Chip Cookie and sometimes or limited-edition vegan flavours!!  😍 😍

We certainly know where we are getting our next sugar-fix from 😜🤘🏽

5.  Botanicah

Botanicah – Southside’s biggest plant warehouse 🌱

Can you hear that?? …. It’s our screams of joy 😭🙌🏽 

This 350 square metre plastic bag factory-turned-retail space is stocked to the brim with a crazy variety of plants, pots and accessories.  Botanicah’s indoor jungle is the ultimate wonderland for plant-lovers!  It’s plant-range is so huge it can cater for almost every condition!

Plant-lover or not, you will become obsessed with this place in a heartbeat 💚
