We LUUUUUV these guys, and you could too!  If we had to describe Piano Bar in 3 words it would be:  Wild, Groovy and simply put, a VIBE. Consider yourself to be a bit arty farty? Legends – Boom Gallery is calling your name! 😍 Launched by Ren Inei and Kate Jacoby in 2011, Boom exhibits original art & design by local, interstate and international artists, designers and makers!  🖼 💖 

With ever-changing exhibitions and artworks, Boom never loses its creative touch. Here at Boom, you walk into a world of design, stunning hand-made creations and of course, incredible coffee.  This hidden gem based at the River-end of Pako is great for an intimate catchup and soul recharge 🤎

4.  Go to the Botanical Gardens for a stroll

The O.G go-to for most Geelong locals, a simple walk along the Botanical Gardens. 🚶‍♀️ 

Go out, get some fresh O2, grab a pal, talk some shizzle, and immerse yourself into Geelong’s breathtaking jungle of colour and flora. The Geelong Botanical Gardens conserve stunning plants from all over the globe.  Not only can you sit back, relax and lie on the well-kept lawns, but you can also gain some knowledge about different plant species and learn how they’re an important part of Australian history. 🌷

5.  PIXAR Putt Geelong

“Get ready to kick some serious putt when Pixar Putt takes Geelong to infinity…and beyond!”

We cannot get enough of this ADORABLE pop-up mini golf course inspired by Pixar ‘s dearest films including: Toy Story, Monsters Inc, Soul, The Incredibles, and more and will feature a new hole from Disney’s recent hit movie, Luca.  

Whether you want to putt around 9 or 18 holes, this course has the perfect medley of difficulties that’ll build upon them golfing skills 💪   

Oh and for our adult PIXAR lovers, ‘Pixar Putt After Dark’ sessions are available for ages 18+ from 7:00pm – 10:00pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights!! How-bow-dat!!!!!!!

7.  Go for a hike at Buckley Falls

Bored?  Tie up your shoelaces and get your booty down to Buckley Falls! 🕺🏽

Whether your dying for a hike or some meditation-time on the large boulders that rise above the stream, these falls are a great way to spend a few hours exploring and recharging your inner battery. 

At Buckley, you will find yourself hopping on stone after stone, and eventually try to keep your balance so you don’t fall into the lake 😂  MOVING ON, A few hundred metres along the river you will see the old Fyansford Paper Mill hanging over the cliff edge… A beautifully abandoned piece of architecture.

8.  Ms Bartronica Gaming 

Unleash your inner gamer at Ms Bartronica Gaming!  This lil’ arcade hub nestled in Ryrie Street is perfect for a long night of playing a multitude of games, or a simple to pitstop in for a quick game and a coupl’a drinks!  From Pac-man to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, to Super Mario Bros,  the games are all genuine originals – yep, no reproductions here! 🤘

9.  Go shopping at Geelong Vintage Market

With an endless array of knick knacks, records, vintage treasures, antiques, jewellery and clothing across their 4 locations, the Geelong Vintage Market will take you riiiight back to yesteryear.  Housed in a beautiful old glass factory which provides 2000 square meters of vintage heaven  you will find a delicious array of significant items from generations back.

The Geelong Vintage Market is a superb place to visit if you have a couple of hours to spare.  Yes, with a number of rooms full of authentic valuables, you will totally need hours.   Also, don’t fret if your belly starts to rumble.  These legends have an on-site cafe which specialise in coffee and nibblies.  

The best part about this place is there’s something for everyone here!  🎥 ☎️ 🎙 📺 ⌛️
